LeMarco noted that Tsujii’s ability to project focus and controlled silence mirrors the character’s internal arc, making her a natural fit for the thriller’s atmosphere of dread.

Rain serves as the anchor for a broader six-project cinematic universe produced entirely in Japan with local crews. The narrative explores how marginalized individuals challenge the established corporate and political hierarchy. With pre-production currently underway, the project aims to leverage Tsujii’s background in combat sports to anchor the film's intense, high-stakes choreography and emotional stakes.
