Physician leaders to address medical evidence in the age of skepticism

As public trust in scientific institutions wanes and clinical research evolves at a rapid pace, medical professionals are struggling to balance evidence-based care with mounting misinformation. On July 2, 2026, experts from Kaiser Permanente and the American College of Physicians will convene to discuss strategies for maintaining patient confidence.

The virtual event, titled "Evidence under pressure: Medical excellence in an era of misinformation," tackles the growing difficulty of navigating conflicting guidance and shifting federal policies. Moderated by Dr. Stephen Parodi of The Permanente Federation, the session features Dr. Jason M. Goldman, immediate past president of the American College of Physicians, and Dr. Letitia Bridges, chief quality officer at The Permanente Federation.

The discussion centers on how clinicians can effectively identify reliable data sources and address patient skepticism during high-stakes consultations. Participants will explore the evolving responsibilities of medical associations and federal institutions in restoring community trust. The one-hour event is complimentary and includes access to a post-webinar recording for all registrants.
