OutKick Audience Surges Amid Controversial Sports Coverage

With 11.8 million unique visitors in May, OutKick recorded a 207% jump in desktop and mobile traffic compared to April. The sports media platform, owned by Fox Corporation, outperformed established competitors like DraftKings and The Ringer, securing the 18th spot among 350 tracked entities in the digital sports landscape.

The platform’s rapid ascent is backed by 56 million multiplatform views and 61 million minutes consumed, marking significant gains across all primary metrics. According to Comscore data, the site’s social media presence also expanded, generating over 663,500 social actions—a 45% increase—alongside 6.3 million video views on Facebook, X, and YouTube.

Gary Schreier, OutKick’s senior vice president and managing editor, attributed this performance to a strategy of prioritizing stories avoided by mainstream outlets. The May coverage cycle focused heavily on debates surrounding gender in athletics, highlighted by reporting on AB Hernandez’s track and field victories and an interview with tennis legend Martina Navratilova. This growth follows the platform’s recent integration with Fox News Digital, a move designed to funnel a broader audience through the FoxNews.com ecosystem.
