Vori Health Studies Validate Virtual Care for Musculoskeletal Issues

Two peer-reviewed studies involving 1,600 participants confirm that Vori Health’s virtual, physician-led model significantly reduces pain and restores physical function. The findings suggest that integrating medical, behavioral, and lifestyle support through a unified digital team outperforms traditional, fragmented care approaches for patients suffering from chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

The research, published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, highlights the efficacy of Vori's Integrated Practice Unit. For patients 65 and older, the program yielded a nearly 50% reduction in pain intensity and measurable gains in physical mobility. Notably, the model also addressed mental health, with patients reporting fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression throughout the treatment process.

A second study focusing on 784 adults with low back pain mirrored these results, showing average pain scores dropping from 4.94 to 2.61. Nearly 62% of participants achieved clinically meaningful pain relief, while 78.1% of those starting with the most severe discomfort reported significant improvements. Vori Health’s Chief Medical Officer, Mary O'Connor, noted that these outcomes validate a shift toward treating the patient holistically rather than merely managing isolated symptoms.
