Three financial advisors led the 2025 cohort of the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor program, earning top honors for their proficiency in navigating distressed business entities. The awards, sponsored by AlixPartners, LLP, were presented during the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors annual conference held earlier this month in Nashville.

Alexander Woolley of M3 Partners secured the Gold award, followed by Robert Clark of Riveron Consulting taking Silver, and Theresa Xu of M3 Partners claiming Bronze. These professionals represent the top tier of candidates who demonstrated exceptional command over complex bankruptcy and turnaround functions throughout the certification process.

Beyond the primary awardees, the association issued Certificates of Distinguished Performance to seven additional practitioners. This group includes Courtney Betty of Province, LLC, Ryan Goetz of Huron Consulting Group, Chang Jin Jang of AlixPartners, Daniel O'Connell of M3 Partners, Christopher Sharp of Alvarez & Marsal, Andrew Short of JS Held, and Christopher Van Praag of FTI Consulting. Since its inception in 1992, the CIRA program has served as a benchmark for technical expertise in the insolvency sector, setting professional standards for consultants, attorneys, and crisis managers operating in high-stakes financial environments.
