Ohkay Casino Hotel Launches ATM Donation Program for Local Shelter

Starting June 1, 2026, guests at Ohkay Casino Hotel can donate spare change directly to the Española Pathways Shelter when cashing out TITO vouchers at the property's ATMs. This initiative aims to convert small, residual amounts from gaming winnings into critical funding for local housing and food support services.

The partnership integrates a donation prompt into the hotel's existing Everi ATM network. While individual contributions may seem modest, leadership at the casino expects the collective impact to provide a reliable revenue stream for the shelter's emergency and transitional housing programs. General Manager Travis Garlick noted that the program is designed to make giving effortless for visitors while reinforcing the property’s commitment to the Española Valley community.

Española Pathways Shelter, which provides case management and healthcare resources alongside physical lodging, views the collaboration as a vital boost to its operational capacity. Executive Director Dena Moscola emphasized that the initiative not only secures financial resources but also increases public visibility for the housing challenges faced by residents in Northern New Mexico. Guests wishing to learn more about the shelter's specific programs or the impact of their contributions can access detailed information through the organization's website.
