Swivel Beefs Up Leadership as Agentic Ad Operations Go Global

As media companies transition from testing AI agents to embedding them into high-volume workflows, Swivel has recruited two industry veterans to manage the shift. The orchestration platform announced the hiring of Joe Melaragno as EVP of Platform and Jonas Olsen as VP of International Sales to accelerate its global expansion.

Melaragno moves to Swivel from Samsung Ads, where he spent nearly a decade managing the infrastructure of one of the industry's largest connected TV advertising businesses. In his new role, he will oversee client services and the deployment of seller agents, focusing on the operational design required to integrate automated execution into complex enterprise environments. His appointment reflects the company’s push to move beyond technical deployment toward long-term operational performance monitoring.

Olsen, joining from Magnite, brings deep expertise in the programmatic supply chain to his role leading commercial growth across European streaming publishers. Having previously worked within the SpringServe publisher ecosystem, he is tasked with building out Swivel’s international go-to-market strategy. His focus will be on addressing the growing demand from European media owners for tools that reduce operational complexity without increasing headcount.

Swivel currently powers operations for organizations including TelevisaUnivision and LG Ad Solutions. The company’s platform manages tens of thousands of daily optimizations, keeping human teams in control through predefined guardrails. By adding these leadership roles, Swivel aims to capitalize on the industry's shift toward agent-to-agent media buying, a frontier the company entered in October 2025 with the Ad Context Protocol.
