Celebree School Becomes Largest Provider for Maryland Pre-K Grant

Nine Celebree School locations across Maryland have secured authorization to participate in the state’s Pre-K Expansion Grant Program. This designation makes the Baltimore-based childcare chain the largest provider in the state, offering tuition-free, high-quality early education to qualifying families to help bridge the financial gap in childhood development.

The initiative targets children who turn four by September 1, with each of the nine participating centers capping enrollment at approximately 20 students. These classrooms will implement play-based, structured curricula led by teachers holding bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education. By aligning schedules with local public school calendars and offering wrap-around care through state scholarship programs, the centers aim to provide consistent, professional support for working parents.

Founder and CEO Richard Huffman stated that the partnership directly advances the company's mission to broaden educational access. Beyond the classroom, the organization is coupling the expansion with a charitable drive, pledging to donate $50 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland for every new student who enrolls by August 31. Interested families are directed to contact individual school sites in areas including Perry Hall, Bowie, and Frederick to verify eligibility requirements, which may include specific household income guidelines or housing status.
