The CNM Quantum Technician Bootcamp, which launched in September 2025, bypasses traditional academic barriers by requiring no prior math or science degrees. The intensive 10-week, 40-hour-per-week program focuses on practical skills, with graduates securing roles at companies like Qunnect for starting salaries near $80,000. During the recent workshop, 45 educators from states including Arizona, Maryland, and Florida explored instructional strategies ranging from virtual quantum optics labs to IBM Qiskit integration.

Brian Rashap, CNM's lead educator, emphasizes that the industry requires a scalable talent pool to support commercial growth. The initiative is bolstered by partnerships with Sandia National Laboratories and the Elevate Quantum consortium, a federally designated Regional Technology and Innovation Hub. By training the trainers, CNM aims to replicate this workforce pipeline across other campuses, ensuring that the quantum sector remains accessible to diverse learners rather than remaining confined to doctoral-level researchers.
