The pilot integrates IQAX’s blockchain eBL and the IQAX One orchestration platform directly into the daily operations of the Tianjin-based freight forwarder. By utilizing a web-based service, the companies have bypassed the need for heavy IT overhauls, allowing for the rapid digital onboarding of shippers and consignees. This shift enables faster document circulation and more secure cargo release, addressing the industry-wide trade-off between speed and control found in traditional telex releases or seaway bills.
By combining EZShipping’s AI-driven document processing with secure eBL issuance, the collaboration creates an end-to-end digital flow from initial data submission to final transfer. According to George Guo, CEO of IQAX, the initiative proves that eBLs can function effectively in high-frequency, multi-party environments. Emma Guo, Group President of Tianjin Consol, noted that the transition provides customers with lower costs and improved coordination, marking a shift toward more resilient digital trade practices. This deployment serves as a blueprint for standardizing digital documentation in the historically fragmented LCL sector.
