Novocure Faces Shareholder Investigation After Trial Failure

Shares of Novocure Limited plummeted more than 18% on June 18, 2026, after the company announced its Phase 3 TRIDENT trial failed to meet its primary overall survival endpoint. The sharp market reaction, which wiped out over $3 per share, has prompted the litigation firm SueWallSt to launch an investigation into the company’s officers.

The clinical trial setback contradicts earlier optimism expressed by company leadership. During a January 2026 healthcare conference, CEO Frank Leonard suggested the study would likely demonstrate improved duration of therapy compared to previous benchmarks. This followed comments from former CEO Ashley Cordova, who had touted the potential benefits of initiating Tumor Treating Fields concurrently with chemoradiation for newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients rather than waiting for the treatment cycle to conclude.

Following the disclosure of the failed trial, investors who incurred financial losses are being urged to review their legal standing. Joseph E. Levi of SueWallSt is soliciting information from shareholders to determine if the company's prior public statements regarding the TRIDENT trial's trajectory misled the market. The firm, which operates on a contingency basis, indicated that eligibility for potential recovery is based on purchase dates and documented losses, regardless of whether the shares are currently held or have already been sold.
