Culture In Motion Roadshow Heads to Mid-South and Gulf South

The national arts initiative Culture In Motion, founded by cultural architect Kwanza Jones in partnership with The Apollo, is moving into its next phase across the Mid-South and Gulf South. The mobile roadshow aims to spotlight the creative legacies of Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, and New Orleans through community engagement.

The tour utilizes the SUPERCHARGED Boost Bus, a custom mobile hub designed to bring programming directly to local neighborhoods. Having already completed stops across California, the Southwest, and the Mid-Atlantic, the project now turns its attention to regions whose artistic contributions have historically influenced the trajectory of American music and performance.

Kwanza Jones noted that the journey continues to highlight the people who sustain local traditions rather than focusing solely on the art itself. By visiting cities defined by their storytelling and resilience, the initiative seeks to reinforce connections between generations and geographies. The roadshow is backed by the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative, which focuses on long-term community impact and cultural accessibility. Further details regarding the tour schedule are available through the project's official digital platform.
