CommunityCare and Mending Partner to Expand DPC Access in Oklahoma

Beginning January 1, 2027, Oklahomans purchasing coverage through the ACA Marketplace will gain access to integrated Direct Primary Care services. The collaboration between Tulsa-based CommunityCare and technology firm Mending aims to shift the regional primary care landscape toward a more personal, preventive, and relationship-driven model for families and individuals.

The initiative combines CommunityCare’s regional health plan infrastructure with Mending’s proprietary platform, which is engineered specifically to manage DPC practices at scale. By embedding these providers directly into insurance networks, the companies intend to remove traditional barriers to entry, allowing patients more time with physicians and fostering earlier medical intervention.

Josiah Sutton, President and CEO of CommunityCare, noted that the move reflects a long-standing desire to prioritize accessible, local care. For Mending co-founder Jeff Yuan, the integration serves as a validation of the company’s five-year mission to scale relationship-based medicine for broader populations. Current policyholders will receive guidance on transitioning to these new plan options during the upcoming Open Enrollment period to ensure continuity of care with their existing DPC providers.
