Hone Health Expands into Cardiovascular Care to Detect Hidden Heart Risks

Nearly half of adults with normal LDL cholesterol levels already harbor early-stage arterial disease, according to research. To address this diagnostic gap, Hone Health is launching a new cardiovascular program designed to identify heart disease risk before standard lipid panels trigger alarm bells or clinical symptoms appear.

The program shifts the focus from reactive treatment to early detection by analyzing how arterial inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and hormone decline interact. While traditional medicine often waits for elevated cholesterol to signal trouble, the company argues that plaque buildup begins long before routine tests show abnormalities. This approach aligns with recent 2026 ACC/AHA guidelines, which advocate for risk assessment strategies that extend beyond basic LDL tracking.

Dr. Abid Husain, head of heart health at Hone, noted that waiting for symptoms closes the window where lifestyle interventions and medications are most effective at altering a patient's disease trajectory. The platform integrates biomarker testing, body composition scans, and whole-body MRI to provide a longitudinal view of a patient’s health. New and existing members can access the program through a $65 blood panel measuring over 50 biomarkers, leading to personalized plans that may include targeted medications like rosuvastatin or colchicine. This expansion marks another step in Hone’s effort to build a comprehensive 'Longevity OS' for its 200,000-plus patient base.
