According to the company, his background in high-level energy transactions is expected to bolster Ring Energy’s financial operations and strategic planning.
Professional Background and Leadership
Before joining Ring Energy, Johl served as managing director and co-head of energy investment banking at Raymond James. His career in the financial sector also includes significant tenures at global institutions UBS and Citi, where he specialized in capital markets and energy-related advisory roles.The appointment fills a vacancy left by Travis Thomas, who resigned from the CFO post in September to pursue other opportunities. Since Thomas's departure, the company’s financial oversight has been managed by Rocky Kwon, the vice president of accounting and controller, who served in an interim capacity.
