The curriculum focuses on practical application, covering the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of climate control and refrigeration systems. This addition brings the program to a network of campuses across nine states, including upcoming locations like the Atlanta campus, which is slated for a summer 2026 opening.
Tracy Lorenz, president of the UTI division, described the expansion as a strategic response to persistent employer demand for qualified field staff. Campus president Roger Gomez noted that the program aligns with industry requirements, offering a direct pathway for students to secure entry-level positions. The initiative falls under the company’s broader North Star Strategy, a long-term project aimed at mitigating labor gaps in critical technical trades.
