Accounting Seed Integrates Ramp to Automate Financial Reconciliation

Columbia-based Accounting Seed has launched a direct integration with financial operations platform Ramp, aiming to eliminate manual data entry for card transactions and employee reimbursements. The partnership allows finance teams to sync spend data directly into the general ledger, supporting the company's push toward a zero-day month-end close.

The integration automates the capture and categorization of travel and expense data, vendor card purchases, and reimbursements. By mapping these transactions as individual lines within Accounting Seed—complete with vendor details and specific general ledger accounts—the platform removes the need for traditional manual reconciliation. This workflow leverages Ramp’s AI to suggest categorization codes, ensuring consistency across financial reporting.

Ryan Sieve, Chief Technology Officer at Accounting Seed, noted that the move targets the manual, error-prone nature of current spend management practices. The integration extends across North America, EMEA, and APAC, offering multi-ledger customers the ability to manage multiple business entities from a single Ramp account. This connectivity complements Accounting Seed’s existing AP automation tools, creating a unified system for managing both card-based spend and vendor invoices.
