Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health is partnering with global pharmaceutical giant MSD to develop a regional logistics hub within the emirate’s HELM Cluster. The proposed facility, currently under feasibility review, represents a strategic alignment between Abu Dhabi’s life sciences ecosystem and MSD’s requirement for robust distribution pathways. By integrating into the emirate’s Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine (HELM) Cluster, the pharmaceutical firm gains access to a specialized infrastructure designed to support the commercialization of complex medical solutions.

Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health, noted that the partnership underscores the emirate’s capacity to connect advanced research with global supply chains. Ashraf Mallak, Managing Director for MSD in the Gulf, Libya, and Egypt, added that the project aims to combine the company's global expertise with local logistical advantages to improve how innovation reaches regional patients. The initiative was unveiled during the BIO International Convention 2026, highlighting Abu Dhabi's broader efforts to attract high-tech health enterprises through its regulatory environment and digital health capabilities.
