Ampace Debuts CATL-Backed Storage Systems at Intersolar Europe

At Intersolar Europe 2026, battery supplier Ampace unveiled the UniC AG440 commercial storage system and the PR-S3 Elite residential unit. The launch, centered on the company's 'Meet All, Green More' initiative, signals a push for higher energy density in industrial applications and zero-degradation performance for European household consumers.

The UniC AG440, a joint development with CATL, utilizes advanced LFP cell technology to reach a system capacity of 20 MWh per node. By supporting up to 45 units, the system achieves 50% higher energy density and a significantly smaller installation footprint than standard 200 kWh-class alternatives. Engineered for harsh environments, the unit functions at temperatures as low as -25°C without the need for auxiliary heating, backed by international safety certifications including UL9540A and IEC62619.

For the residential sector, Ampace introduced the PR-S3 Elite. Featuring proprietary FrostCare Tech, the system maintains charge-discharge performance in temperatures down to -20°C. The unit is rated for 15,000 cycles and promises zero capacity degradation for the first three years of operation. Beyond hardware, the company highlighted its shift toward sustainable manufacturing, noting that its facilities are powered by 100% zero-carbon electricity and meet the ISO14068-1:2023 standard for carbon neutrality.
