Air Products to Showcase Cryogenic Food Freezing at Summer Fancy Food Show

Specialty food producers gathering at New York City’s Javits Center from June 28-30 will get a firsthand look at high-speed cryogenic cooling systems. Air Products is set to demonstrate how liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide technologies can replace traditional multi-hour freezing processes with a rapid, minutes-long operation.

At booth 2581, the company plans to highlight its Freshline IQ Freezer and the MP Tunnel Freezer, two systems designed to balance high throughput with a compact footprint. These units leverage cryogenic gases to preserve moisture and product quality, addressing common yield losses faced by specialty manufacturers. The modular design of the IQ Freezer allows for field expansion, while the integration of Freshline Smart Technology enables remote troubleshooting, a feature aimed at reducing operational downtime.

Beyond the exhibition floor, Air Products continues to leverage its Allentown, Pennsylvania-based food and grinding lab. This facility allows potential clients to test their specific products on production-scale equipment, providing a pathway to quantify cost and performance benefits before committing to capital investments. With over six decades of experience in the food sector, the firm aims to demonstrate that cryogenic solutions are viable for both large-scale manufacturers and smaller niche processors looking to modernize their production lines.
