Bear Stewart Recalls Cookie Dough Over Undeclared Soy

Chicago-based Bear Stewart LLC has initiated a voluntary recall of its Bakr Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Ready To Bake Cookie Dough. The move follows the discovery that a specific production lot contains soy, a common allergen not disclosed on the package’s labeling, posing a risk to sensitive consumers.

The recall affects 8-ounce blue pouches marked with lot number 2606022, located on the bottom left corner of the rear panel. These products were sold in Target stores across Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, and Utah beginning June 11, 2026. The error stemmed from a temporary packaging malfunction that resulted in S’mores cookies being placed into Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk pouches.

While no illnesses have been documented, the company urges customers to return the affected pouches to their place of purchase to receive a full refund. Those seeking further information may contact Bear Stewart directly at 1-800-697-BEAR.
