Following shareholder approval granted in June 2025, ProAssurance has officially delisted from the NYSE and deregistered its common stock with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of The Doctors Company while leadership evaluates the most effective long-term organizational structure.
Richard E. Anderson, Chairman and CEO of The Doctors Company and TDC Group, characterized the merger as a strategic alignment of two mission-driven firms focused on medical liability and specialty lines. The acquisition expands the firm’s reach into products liability for medical technology and life sciences, alongside workers' compensation insurance. This consolidation aims to bolster service capacity across a complex healthcare landscape, reinforcing the company's position as a dominant provider of risk management solutions for clinicians and medical systems nationwide.
