The new lineup features three specific transducers—the LVS44, LVS42HD, and a dedicated ice fishing variant—designed to provide real-time imagery of fish and underwater structures. According to Susan Lyman, vice president of consumer sales and marketing, the redesign focuses on streamlining the user experience by integrating processing power directly into the transducer hardware. This change allows for faster installation and frees up deck space for anglers.
Technological improvements across the series include integrated image stabilization, noise reduction, and wider sonar angles across Forward, Down, and Perspective modes. The LVS44 model extends range to 250 feet, while the HD version prioritizes clarity at closer ranges. The units also feature automated sensors that detect when the transducer is lifted from the water, preventing unnecessary power draw. Prices for the new systems range from $1,999.99 to $2,199.99, and the hardware is compatible with existing Garmin multi-function displays and the broader marine ecosystem.
