Vinitaly.USA Prepares for Sold-Out New York Debut

Docked at Pier 86 aboard the historic Amerigo Vespucci, Italian trade officials gathered in New York to unveil plans for the third edition of Vinitaly.USA. With 250 exhibitors already confirmed, the October trade fair is rapidly closing in on full capacity, signaling a robust demand for Italian wine in the American market.

The event, scheduled for October 26–27 at Pier 36, serves as a cornerstone for Veronafiere’s mission to deepen ties within the U.S. Northeast, a region currently responsible for 22% of total Italian wine consumption by value. Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, emphasized that the upcoming fair aims to go beyond simple networking by offering masterclasses, business-focused sessions, and the debut of the SolExpo format for premium olive oil.

Preparations for the exhibition are mirrored by an aggressive buyer recruitment campaign. Following the New York presentation, the delegation heads to Miami on July 7 for an additional showcase at the restaurant Macchialina. This secondary event, featuring a masterclass led by sommelier Jacqueline Pirolo, underscores a broader strategy to connect regional Italian producers—ranging from Asti DOCG to smaller independent labels—with key North American distributors.
