The RV industry is currently enduring its seventh consecutive month of year-over-year declines, with retail registrations dropping nearly 22% in March. Despite this cooling, DM Vans has managed to secure full commitment for its entire 2026 model year. This performance highlights a growing trend where buyers, wary of high-ticket purchases exceeding $100,000, are moving away from unknown brands in favor of manufacturers that offer direct accountability and craftsmanship.
Matt Felser, co-founder and president, attributes the success to a customer base that prioritizes due diligence. By building each vehicle by hand in Colorado and bypassing traditional dealer markups, the company has fostered a level of trust that resonates in a tightening economy. With the 2026 inventory exhausted, the manufacturer has already opened deposits for its 2027 lineup, aiming to maintain its momentum as the rest of the sector adjusts to lowered forecasts from the RV Industry Association.
