Mike Nold Takes Helm at Skywire Networks

Brooklyn-based connectivity provider Skywire Networks has appointed Mike Nold as President and CEO, tasking the veteran executive with steering the firm through its next stage of expansion. Nold joins the company with a mandate to sharpen operational discipline and accelerate growth across the tri-state region’s digital infrastructure market.

Nold brings a background spanning global tech giants and private-equity-backed firms, having previously held senior roles at Zayo Group and Equinix. His resume includes stints as CEO for middle-market companies and a tenure as a senior private equity principal. Chairman John Troy cited Nold’s deep industry roots and strategic vision as the primary drivers for the hire, positioning him to lead the firm’s customer-centric initiatives.

This leadership change follows the recent hiring of Derek Watson as Chief Financial Officer, signaling a broader push by Skywire to bolster its executive bench. As the company continues to leverage its rooftop fixed-wireless network and fiber backbone to serve clients in New York City and Northern New Jersey, Nold is expected to bridge the gap between regional service and large-scale infrastructure execution.
