Clockwork.ai Debuts Mira to Democratize CFO-Level Financial Analysis

Chicago-based Clockwork.ai has launched Mira, an agentic AI analyst designed to provide small and medium-sized businesses with sophisticated financial forecasting. By integrating directly with QuickBooks and Xero, the tool automates cash flow analysis and scenario planning, effectively serving as a virtual CFO for companies lacking dedicated finance teams.

The platform functions by pulling transactional data to generate forecasts and explain financial narratives in plain language, bypassing the need for extensive manual spreadsheet work. According to CEO Fady Hawatmeh, the system replicates high-end financial consulting services that previously cost businesses tens of thousands of dollars, making professional-grade insights accessible to growing firms.

Beyond static reporting, Mira monitors financial shifts in real time. Users receive alerts regarding cash squeezes or margin fluctuations as they occur, rather than waiting for month-end reconciliations. The system requires no implementation period and connects to existing accounting software in under three minutes. Currently supporting over 3,000 businesses and serving as an official partner to Thomson Reuters, Clockwork.ai positions this release as a means to provide operational command over financial data without the overhead of a traditional three-person FP&A team.
