Davenport, who announced her departure earlier this year, will remain with the organization as a senior adviser to ensure a seamless transition. Beyond his executive duties, Axelrod will join the company’s board of directors, solidifying his oversight of the firm's strategic direction.
Axelrod brings a deep background in consumer-facing markets to the position. His resume includes top leadership roles at Del Real Foods and Passport Food Group, alongside tenures at major industry players such as Kraft Foods, Whirlpool, and TreeHouse Foods. Regarding the move, Axelrod pointed to the sustained consumer demand for protein and the strength of BellRing’s ready-to-drink portfolio as primary indicators of the company’s potential for long-term growth. Board Chair Robert Vitale confirmed the appointment follows a thorough recruitment process aimed at securing a successor capable of managing the company's category expertise and established retailer relationships.
