Previously, ophthalmology departments relied on siloed storage, often keeping images trapped on individual cameras or isolated servers. With this new integration, the hospital expects to process approximately 2,000 ophthalmology exams annually. The move follows a two-and-a-half-year contract between the hospital and the Swedish firm Sectra, representing a shift toward a centralized imaging strategy that reduces administrative overhead for IT departments while streamlining clinical workflows.
