TempDev Deploys Referral and Order Management Tools to Fix Clinical Lag

Miami-based consulting firm TempDev is launching new workflow optimization templates aimed at clearing the persistent backlog of open referrals and orders in ambulatory care. By centralizing fragmented data, the tools seek to eliminate administrative bottlenecks that frequently delay patient follow-ups and stall internal clinical communication.

Healthcare practices often struggle with disconnected tasks that lead to missed appointments and inconsistent tracking. TempDev’s new Referral Management Templates offer a unified workspace, enabling teams to monitor the status of outbound referrals from submission to completion. By providing visual tracking and direct tasking capabilities, the software reduces the manual effort required to manage patient progress across multiple providers.

Simultaneously, the updated Order Management Templates consolidate labs, diagnostics, and office services into a single interface. This allows staff to process high volumes of patient requirements without switching between disparate screens. The impact of such coordination is significant: one multi-specialty practice reported an 83% reduction in outstanding orders and a 12% rise in patient satisfaction scores after implementing these refined workflows. CEO Laura Miller emphasizes that clear visibility into aging items remains the most effective lever for improving both operational efficiency and the quality of patient care.
