The camera arrives this August, targeting wildlife and sports enthusiasts with a $2,299.99 price tag.
The RX10 V retains the signature ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T
24-600mm lens while upgrading the internal architecture to mirror the performance of Sony’s Alpha mirrorless series. At its core, a 20.1-megapixel 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ XR engine enables 30 fps blackout-free continuous shooting. The inclusion of a dedicated AI-processing unit allows for real-time tracking of diverse subjects, ranging from insects and birds to vehicles, maintaining focus even when subjects are obscured or moving unpredictably.Design refinements prioritize field usability, featuring an intuitive button layout and a high-resolution Quad-VGA OLED viewfinder. Power efficiency has seen a significant boost; the transition to the Z-series NP-FZ100 battery extends capacity to approximately 630 shots per charge, representing a 50% increase over the previous generation.
