The Walldorf-based software giant saw total revenue climb 9% to €9.88 billion for the quarter ending June 30. Cloud revenue remained the primary engine of this performance, rising 22% as major global enterprises—including Airbus, Eli Lilly, and Shell—continued to adopt the firm's cloud-based ERP suites. Despite these gains, SAP adjusted its full-year non-IFRS operating profit outlook to between €11.8 billion and €12.2 billion, accounting for the dilutive costs associated with its latest expansion into data lakehouse platforms and tabular foundation models.
Management remains focused on disciplined execution, leveraging internal AI transformations to improve operational efficiency. While current cloud backlog growth remains robust, the company noted that its financial forecasts assume a near-term de-escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Beyond financial results, the firm continues to navigate its ongoing evolution, recently completing a €3.5 billion Eurobond transaction and settling a long-standing competition investigation with the European Commission regarding its on-premise maintenance practices.
