By utilizing RFID tags, the system identifies multiple items simultaneously, which eliminates the need for manual barcode scanning. Beyond accelerating the checkout process for customers, the integration provides staff with real-time inventory tracking and enhanced loss prevention capabilities. MWG Holdings CEO Tom Sheridan noted that the implementation reflects a broader shift toward integrating mainstream retail technologies into the cannabis sector.
