The company’s inaugural sampling at the Rowland Tungsten Property and the adjacent White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County yielded high-grade results that align with the geochemical profile of scheelite-bearing skarn systems. At the Rowland Main workings, five samples exceeded 1.0% tungsten trioxide, while a standout sample at the previously unmineralized White Star site returned 3.00% tungsten trioxide alongside 711 ppm molybdenum. These findings are currently being integrated with completed UAV magnetic surveys to finalize drill targets.
While surface sampling remains an early-stage exploration tool, the results arrive at a moment of acute supply-chain anxiety. The United States has lacked significant domestic tungsten production for a decade, leaving the aerospace and defense sectors heavily reliant on imports, particularly from China. With the Pentagon prioritizing secure access to strategic metals, Western Star is positioning its Nevada assets to benefit from the same policy-driven capital flows that have supported larger industry players. The company must now prove that these surface-level grades hold depth and continuity through a maiden drill program.
