Young brings a background spanning financial reporting and broadcast journalism to her new role. Beyond her tenure at Bloomberg and Schwab Network, she currently serves as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. At Bear Icebox, she will oversee integrated communications programs, provide editorial strategy, and mentor the agency's growing team.

This hire follows a period of rapid scaling for the agency, which was recently ranked by O’Dwyer’s as the second fastest-growing PR firm in the U.S. President and CEO Bob Spoerl noted that the expansion is focused on securing senior counselors who can act as business partners to clients. The agency’s growth trajectory also includes the late 2025 acquisition of Carson Stoga Communications and the promotion of Sean Wille to Vice President of Operations and Strategy, as the firm sees increased demand for AI-informed communications and executive branding.
