Reese’s Oreo Cup Celebrates a Year of Record-Breaking Sales

One year after merging America’s top-selling candy and cookie brands, the Reese’s Oreo Cup has cemented its status as a commercial powerhouse. The product, which originated from years of persistent consumer requests, is marking its first anniversary with a high-profile creative campaign starring Lindsay Lohan and Amy Sedaris.

Directed by Patricia Arquette, the new campaign serves as a victory lap for a product that transformed from a digital fan fantasy into a retail reality. Since its debut, the collaboration between The Hershey Company and Mondelēz International has generated over $188 million in retail sales. This performance earned it the title of Reese’s top innovation for 2025, successfully capturing a younger demographic while maintaining strong repeat purchase rates.

Melissa Blette, Senior Brand Manager at The Hershey Company, noted that the success validates a strategy of building products alongside consumers rather than merely for them. The permanent addition to the Reese’s portfolio functions as a case study in how social media sentiment can effectively dictate corporate product development. The anniversary spots, produced by Juxtapose Studio, are currently streaming across major digital platforms.
