Spin Master Returns to Profit as Q2 Revenue Climbs to $436 Million

Spin Master Corp. marked a return to profitable growth in the second quarter of 2026, reporting $436.4 million in revenue. The Toronto-based entertainment firm credited the performance to strong sales of core brands like PAW Patrol and Monster Jam, coupled with a significant $37.9 million tariff refund that bolstered operating income.

The company swung to a net income of $29.7 million, or $0.29 per share, compared to a $46.5 million loss during the same period last year. Operating income reached $45.7 million, a sharp turnaround from the $52.4 million loss recorded in 2025. CFO Jonathan Roiter highlighted the firm's improved cash position, noting that the business has reduced gross debt by over $350 million and returned nearly $200 million to shareholders since the acquisition of Melissa & Doug.

Performance was buoyed by the Toys segment, which saw revenue rise 12% to $361.1 million, driven by shipments ahead of the theatrical release of 'PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.' While the Toys division benefited from the tariff recovery, the Digital Games segment faced a slight decline due to lower in-game purchases in Toca Boca World. Looking ahead, Spin Master reiterated its 2026 outlook, anticipating stable to low single-digit revenue growth and mid-to-high single-digit growth in adjusted EBITDA.
