LAFC Co-President Larry Freedman noted that the selection process focused on finding a brand whose values of authenticity and community impact closely mirrored the club's own mission in Southern California.

Beyond the jersey placement, the agreement includes a range of fan-focused initiatives and in-stadium activations at BMO Stadium. Marquez Brothers, which operates seven manufacturing facilities and serves over 10,000 retailers, views the deal as a way to leverage the reach of Major League Soccer to celebrate Mexican culture. This move follows the company’s existing multi-year partnership with the Mexican National Soccer Team, further cementing its presence in the professional sports landscape.
