Alamo Group Reports Mixed Second Quarter Results Amid Market Shifts

Alamo Group Inc. posted $450.7 million in net sales for the second quarter of 2026, a 7.6% increase over the previous year, though net income dipped slightly to $30.9 million. The company navigated a period of mixed market conditions by leveraging strong performance in its Industrial Equipment Division to offset sector-wide pressures.

The Seguin, Texas-based manufacturer reported adjusted net income of $34.2 million, or $2.82 per fully diluted share, representing a 7.2% improvement over the same period in 2025. This growth was driven primarily by the Industrial Equipment Division, which saw sales climb 12.8% to $271.6 million, bolstered by organic demand and the acquisition of Petersen. In contrast, the Vegetation Management Division remained largely flat, with sales ticking up just 0.4% to $179.1 million.

President and CEO Robert Hureau attributed the results to disciplined execution and a focus on operational improvements across its 27 manufacturing facilities. To maintain flexibility, the company renewed its credit facility in May, securing $602.5 million in committed capacity. As of June 30, the firm held $195 million in cash against $262.7 million in total debt, while returning $19 million to shareholders through dividends and stock repurchases during the first half of the year. Management plans to detail its outlook during a conference call scheduled for August 4.
