The custom-outfitted truck features a high-capacity pump system and remote-controlled nozzles, allowing crews to combat fires directly from the cab. Additional equipment includes a front-mounted winch for recovery missions and high-intensity lighting designed for low-visibility conditions. These upgrades significantly bolster the department's ability to handle remote incidents.
Fire Chief Casey Moeller noted that as a volunteer organization, securing modern equipment often proves difficult. The Foundation’s contribution addresses these resource gaps, directly enhancing the safety of the community. Southern Power President Robin Boren marked the company’s twenty-fifth anniversary by citing the grant as a core component of its strategy to support local infrastructure where the energy provider maintains facilities.
