Ghavami joins the organization with an extensive background in the genomics sector, including significant tenures at leading academic institutions and Eurofins. His arrival comes as SeqCenter—an ARCHIMED company founded in 2019—looks to capitalize on the surging demand for high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics. The firm currently provides essential genomic infrastructure to research entities, government agencies, and biotech companies throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Leslie Loveless, CEO of Slone Partners, highlighted Ghavami’s track record in commercial scaling and scientific leadership as the primary drivers for the selection. For his part, Ghavami emphasized a commitment to expanding the company’s technical capabilities and service accessibility. Holding a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, the new CEO is expected to focus on integrating innovative solutions to streamline the company’s global service delivery.
