The study, conducted by the interactive platform Lingokids, surveyed 2,000 parents across the United States. While 47.6% of respondents reported they had never sought tech help from their children, those who did found success in nearly 86% of cases. The findings highlight a shift in how early children develop digital fluency, with the two-to-eight age bracket now spending an average of 70 minutes daily on online games—a duration identical to that of teenagers aged 9 to 16.

Cristóbal Viedma, founder and CEO of Lingokids, suggests that parents should embrace this early tech literacy as a tool for family engagement rather than viewing screen time solely as a passive activity. By integrating household troubleshooting into daily routines, families can transform device management into a collaborative experience. As digital interaction becomes a standard part of childhood, these early-age skills appear to be bridging the gap between generations long before the typical onset of teen tech independence.
