Instead, it utilizes dynamic digital credentials tied to a specific vehicle identification number, an authorized carrier, and a precise pickup location. These credentials cannot be screenshotted or forwarded and are automatically revoked if authorization changes, closing a security gap frequently exploited by bad actors in the transport industry.

The verification process requires the assigned driver to use the Central Dispatch carrier app. Once the driver is within five miles of the pickup point, a facility representative scans the credential via the Secure Vehicle Transfer app. The entire exchange takes roughly 90 seconds to complete, creating a verifiable record of the handoff. Central Dispatch is currently piloting this technology with select dealerships and carriers from the Ready Logistics network before a broader rollout. Following the pilot, the company intends to integrate these security measures into its Manheim physical locations, covering a massive ecosystem that handles millions of vehicle movements annually.
