Founded in 2010, Velocity IT built its reputation on technical support for small- and mid-size businesses. Under the new agreement, founder and CEO Kenny Riley will remain involved as the firm joins the broader ITS portfolio. Riley noted that the partnership provides his team with expanded resources and technical depth while maintaining the existing client relationships that defined the firm’s growth.
Tom Andrulis, CEO of ITS, described the acquisition as a pivotal move for the company’s national growth strategy. Since securing backing from Tower Arch Capital in 2022, ITS has aggressively expanded its footprint, completing ten acquisitions of cybersecurity and managed service providers. While the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, Deerpath Capital provided the necessary financing to close the deal. Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP and BDO USA LLP served as advisors for the transition.
