Tucows Reports Revenue Growth Amidst Quarterly Net Loss

Tucows Inc. navigated a mixed second quarter in 2026, balancing a 2.1% year-over-year revenue increase against a widened net loss of $20.5 million. While the company saw momentum in its Ting fiber internet services, heavy investment in Wavelo and legacy mobile obligations weighed on the bottom line.

CEO David Woroch highlighted the company's financial progress, citing revenue and gross profit improvements on both a year-over-year and sequential basis. The Ting segment emerged as the primary growth engine, benefiting from increased subscriber numbers and construction activity, while the company's established domain services business maintained stable gross profit margins.

Despite these operational gains, the firm's net loss deepened from $15.6 million in the same period last year to $20.5 million, or $1.84 per share. Adjusted EBITDA also experienced a slight decline of 2.2% compared to the previous year, settling at $12.3 million. Management attributed this pressure to ongoing investments in Wavelo’s sales and marketing initiatives and obligations tied to its legacy mobile operations. The company concluded the quarter with $60.2 million in cash and cash equivalents, down from $61.9 million at the end of the first quarter.
