NAVER D2SF Ups Stake in Physical AI Data Specialist NdotLight

A KRW 15 billion funding round led by the Korea Development Bank has secured fresh capital for NdotLight, marking the third time NAVER D2SF has backed the startup. The investment reinforces a long-term partnership aimed at solving the data bottlenecks currently hindering the advancement of physical AI and robotics.

NdotLight has carved out a niche by developing TRINIX, a specialized 3D data generation solution designed to feed directly into physical AI training simulations. While teleoperation has been a standard approach for gathering training data, the industry has struggled with prohibitive costs, slow collection speeds, and inconsistent data quality. TRINIX bypasses these hurdles by automating the creation of 3D assets that include precise physical properties like mass, friction, and collision boundaries, while maintaining seamless integration with NVIDIA Omniverse.

The startup's technology is already seeing adoption among major players, including humanoid robotics firms like Holiday Robotics and AeiRobot, as well as industrial giants such as Hyundai Motor Company and LG Electronics. Led by CEO Jinyoung Park and CTO Suntae Kim—both veterans of Samsung and NAVER—NdotLight has been recognized by CB Insights for its technical prowess in 3D engine development. For NAVER D2SF, the follow-on investment is a strategic move to deepen collaboration, building on years of proximity since NdotLight first operated as a resident startup at the NAVER 1784 facility.
