The rankings, published by the Arlington-based Info-Tech Research Group, utilize a Net Emotional Footprint (NEF) score to gauge how users perceive their software providers. This metric is derived from responses to 25 distinct questions, capturing the emotional tone of the user experience rather than just technical specifications. The data reflects real-world performance across procurement, implementation, and long-term maintenance.
The 2026 Champions include Bizzdesign Hopex, which led with a +94 NEF score and a reputation for generosity. Other top-tier platforms recognized for their performance and user-centric approach include OrbusInfinity (+91 NEF), ABACUS (+91 NEF), QualiWare Enterprise Architect (+88 NEF), and Ardoq (+86 NEF). These tools assist organizations with critical tasks such as dependency mapping, scenario planning, and the maintenance of architecture repositories.
Abbas Jaffery, principal advisory director at Info-Tech, notes that the true value of these platforms lies in their ability to translate complex system relationships into actionable insights. According to Jaffery, effective architecture software allows leaders to evaluate the impact of technology changes with greater confidence, proving that user feedback is a vital indicator of how well these solutions function outside of theoretical models.
