The Swedish manufacturer plans to feature the DI13 marine engine, a core component of its Super platform designed to lower CO2 emissions while boosting durability and overall performance. Beyond traditional combustion, the company is positioning its industrial battery technology and hybrid power systems as critical tools for vessels navigating the transition to lower-emission operations. By leveraging industrialized automotive technology, Scania aims to provide operators with solutions that mitigate both technical and financial risks.

Anders Swärd, Head of Sales for Power Solutions, emphasized that the company’s strategy focuses on a broad portfolio tailored to varied marine needs. Alongside hardware, the firm will highlight its service offerings, which are intended to optimize uptime and maintenance efficiency. On September 3, Deepak Shekhar, Product Manager for e-mobility, will host a seminar at Hall B5’s Exhibitor Innovation Stage to discuss how automotive-derived components can accelerate the industry’s move toward zero-emission shipping.
