Showa System Engineering Posts 11.8% Profit Rise in Nine-Month Results

The company’s operating performance strengthened during the period, with operating profit climbing to ¥844 million from ¥770 million a year earlier. Pretax profit followed a similar upward trend, reaching ¥865 million compared to ¥783 million in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. These results, reported under Japanese accounting standards, indicate a steady expansion of the firm’s service margins.

Earnings per share rose to ¥139.77, up from ¥123.65 in the prior year, reflecting the improved bottom-line efficiency. Despite the profit growth, the company has opted for a stable capital return strategy rather than an immediate increase in payouts.

Showa System Engineering maintained its dividend outlook for the current fiscal year, according to the financial statement. The company projected a year-end dividend of ¥55.00, keeping the total annual distribution unchanged from the previous year. The firm did not issue dividends for the first three quarters, focusing its shareholder returns on the final period of the fiscal year.
