Uber Secures $5.2 Billion Through European Debt Offering

Uber Technologies has finalized a public offering of senior unsecured notes valued at approximately $5.19 billion. By tapping into European debt markets, the ride-hailing giant aims to bolster its corporate treasury with capital secured against long-term obligations maturing between 2029 and 2046.

The issuance, finalized following an original debt agreement dated September 9, 2024, carries interest rates ranging from 3.75% to 5.25%. These senior unsecured notes represent a significant move to lock in multi-year financing for the company. While the specific allocation of funds remains broad, management indicated the proceeds will support general corporate purposes, providing the business with increased financial flexibility for future operations.
